I can’t believe it, it only seems like yesterday I was excited to be signing up as the new APS SSO, and yet here I am struggling to think what to write for my goodbye newsletter piece. My year with APS has been incredible – there’s nothing more inspiring than seeing all the amazing things student groups round the land are doing to push the pro-life cause forwards. Before I took on this role, I could never have imagined what a vibrant and activity community the pro-life world really is, you guys are doing great great things, really you are.
What a year it’s been though – parties in parliament, new societies being founded, the media paying attention to us, being shipped round the country to sell APS far and wide. I’ve not had a dull moment, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. However all good things must come to an end, and the time has come for me to pass the proverbial pro-life baton on to Madeline Page, my successor. I can assure you, you’re all in very safe hands, and I couldn’t think of anyone better to do the job, and she’ll probably be far better at it than I was. Mads will be in touch with all the active societies soon to say hello, find out how she can help you, and tell you all her amazing plans for the year.
I’ll miss you all, some more than others (jokes), and I’ll never forget the drive and determination the pro-life student movement has.
